Our Mission

Who Are We & Why We Exist

The mission of the Maroon & Grey Alumni Chapter is to support the overall health of all sports programs, the needs of sports program coaches, as well as those of the athletes. Our goal is to enhance the student athlete’s experience and contribute to the quality of life throughout the sports programs. Our focus is on establishing unilateral goals with campus athletic administrators and the needs of athletic program leadership. We are fueled by our ongoing efforts to advocate for the needs of our athletes and athletic programs while establishing an environment that breeds leadership, enthusiasm, and love for our university.

Membership

I am excited to announce that we have made a check donation of $6,000 to the Texas Southern University athletic program. This donation is specifically earmarked to help finance the fueling station for athlete nutrition. We have much more in-store and would like your involvement.

The Domino Effect Part 1

  Ali Siddiq tells true stories and breaks down the differences between his 'old son' and his 'new son', and spoiler, one of them is way better than the other.  In a break from the hugely successful 4 part Domino Effect series, which has over 40 million views on YouTube, this new special gives a look into Ali's family life, his sometimes unconventional parenting strategies, and his role as a father of 9 children.            

The Domino Effect Part 1

 The Domino Effect is a one-hour stand up special that was filmed live in Houston, TX. In his second-hour special, Ali Siddiq tells the true stories of his adolescent years growing up in the Houston projects.  From being handed a gun at 10 years old and left home alone to sell drugs, to navigating a cast of characters and dangerous interactions during his time as a street pharmaceutical salesman.  These are the true stories that ultimately lead to Ali getting busted by the FBI at 19 years old and spending 6 years in prison for a 15-year sentence. 

The Domino Effect Part 2: Loss

 Following the success of Ali’s last special THE DOMINO EFFECT (over 10 million views in the first year) comes the sequel “THE DOMINO EFFECT 2: LOSS”.  Ali tells the traumatic stories of his adolescence that ultimately lead to him going to prison for 6 years. 

The Domino Effect Part 3: First Day of School

 The next chapter in Ali Siddiq's comedy special series, The Domino Effect.  This 75-minute special tells the true stories of Ali Siddiq’s first few years of incarceration for drug trafficking.  

The Domino Effect Part 4: Pins & Needles

 Ali Siddiq delivers the final chapter in his comedy special series with The Domino Effect Part 4: Pins & Needles. This 2 hour special tells the true stories of Ali Siddiq’s last few years of incarceration for drug trafficking, how he started doing comedy and his eventual release from prison. The Domino Effect 1, 2 & 3 have over 20 million views combined
